hey guys,
Sorry for the late post. If you didn't know, a devastating storm with hail as big as golf balls rained down on Perth, damaging alot of power and communication lines and caused many people inconvenience to many people. But hey! We don't get that in Singapore right? The premier as also declared the storm on Monday as a natural disaster. I think to myself, "COOL! I'm a survivor of a natural disaster!" :) Rest assure that this doesn't happen that frequently. As usual, I'll post a few pictures up for you to see.

Ice Golf Ball?
Let not these pictures scare you as it really doesn't happen that frequently, in fact, its my first time experiencing a hail since I came here to study.
All in all, i wish all the readers all the best. Let me know if you see me around uni! Come to Australia and experience a life that you will not be able to do so in Singapore!
Cheers!

Sometimes being in a different environment makes it easier for me to learn to relax and enjoy whatever that's in front of me. I never used to take a second glance at anything because the life I led was so fast-paced and so many things that need to get done pronto (not saying that I don't have a lot of things to get done now), but coming to Australia has taught me to really appreciate everything. I can say I've learnt to slow down the pace of my life; I love having time to sit down and read a book, stand on the balcony and watch the clouds drift across the sky or watch the sun set.

I delight in these simple activities, things that we've stopped doing or taken for granted because we get so caught up in everyday life. While my duty to my parents is to study hard and earn that degree, studying/ living here in Australia is more than that. I'm glad that I've witnessed out the awesome sunrise at Byron Bay, caught some waves in Gold Coast, and I'm more than happy to be hanging out with friends at cafes or their places other than sticking my head in study materials during crunchtime.
Studying here is an experience that I'll never ever take for granted. It's not easy or cheap for that matter, to send both my sister and I over to further our studies at the same time. If there's a chance for you to head down under comes up, take it and I'm sure you won't regret it ;)

Today nearing the end of my course, I know I am going to shed tears saying good bye to this college my friends, who have become my family. I remember getting here on first day and thinking what did I get myself into, but ironically today I know there is nowhere else I would have rather been. I have grown academically and as in individual. This country and school have provided me with an opportunity to become the person I always wanted be. Before leaving I always thought I was independent after coming here I realized what being independent all was about and be rest assured I was not. I made mistakes and was given the chance to learn from them.
To everyone out there I would say does not come here expecting everything to be wow and amazing. You have spend your whole life in this one place, thus it will take time to adjust to a new place. Once you are willing to accept this country and its people as who they are and as your own you will be a part of this community as well. Everyone fits in here so will you. The education here is outstanding they have a different approach from home but that is what higher education is all about, hands on learning. Believe me when I say this new place will give you a whole new aspect and approach to life. Leave yesterday behind and join us down here for a new beginning, one I can assure you will not regret.
